The challenge

Corporate meeting

Managing a mixed-platform estate under one accountable service

Supporting Windows and macOS through a single DaaS model

Supporting Windows and macOS devices within a single DaaS model required separate imaging, configuration, patching and support capabilities while maintaining consistent service standards across the estate.

The global estate also required demonstrable patch compliance, accurate asset records and reliable break/fix and replacement services across multiple markets. Device lifecycle accountability had to extend from provisioning and deployment through repair, replacement and retirement.

Our approach

One managed lifecycle across platforms and locations

TECEZE implemented an integrated DaaS model designed to manage both platforms under consistent service standards while maintaining the specific controls each required.

The approach included:

Dual-platform build and management

Separate golden images, configuration profiles and patch streams were maintained for Windows and macOS, ensuring both platforms received consistent build quality and patch currency.

Lifecycle-integrated asset management

Asset records were updated at each lifecycle transition, including provisioning, deployment, break/fix, replacement and retirement, keeping the estate register accurate through day-to-day operations.

Proactive patch management

Managed patch cycles were implemented across both platforms with compliance reporting, providing demonstrable evidence of patch currency.

Integrated hardware break/fix

Hardware repair and replacement were incorporated into the DaaS service, giving the client a single point of accountability instead of managing separate warranty and vendor relationships.

The results: 36-month service programme
