A prominent international company partnered with HCL and TECEZE to relocate critical data center infrastructure across more than 220 devices, including servers, storage, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and UPS systems. TECEZE executed the relocation across four weekend phases, combining detailed site planning, controlled decommissioning, secure logistics, precise cabling, and installation testing to achieve 100% SLA compliance with zero operational disruption.
The environment included a diverse range of infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and UPS systems. Because these systems supported critical operations, the relocation required careful planning and execution to minimise downtime and ensure every device was correctly reinstalled and operational at the destination.
The project involved moving more than 220 devices across data center environments while maintaining operational continuity. The diversity and sensitivity of the infrastructure meant that every stage, from cable identification to final testing, needed to be executed with precision — a single mislabeled cable or mishandled device at this scale could cascade into downtime that a data center migration of this kind couldn’t afford. Moving from DXC in Grenoble to Equinix in Paris meant coordinating not just device transport but the physical and network dependencies tying those devices together.
With operations expected to continue uninterrupted, the relocation couldn’t be executed as a single disruptive cutover; it had to be sequenced carefully enough to protect service continuity throughout. That constraint shaped everything about how the move needed to run — phased, planned around low-impact windows, and executed with enough rigor at each stage that nothing was left to chance between decommissioning at the source and installation at the destination. The organization needed a delivery partner capable of managing a 220+ device relocation with zero downtime and full SLA compliance from survey through final testing.
HCL engaged TECEZE to execute the lift-and-shift programme through a structured, phased approach designed around operational continuity and equipment integrity. Detailed site surveys and cable connection diagrams documented the existing infrastructure at the source, giving the team an accurate reference for reinstallation at the destination rather than relying on memory or assumption once devices were disconnected. Skilled technicians carefully decommissioned each device and prepared the equipment for transportation using appropriate packaging and handling procedures, minimising the risk of damage to sensitive hardware over the journey from Grenoble to Paris. Four dedicated trucks were assigned to specific phases of the relocation, enabling devices to be transported in a controlled and sequential manner rather than as a single undifferentiated shipment. At the destination, devices were reinstalled and individually tested to verify functionality, connectivity, and operational performance before each relocation phase was considered complete, ensuring nothing moved forward to the next weekend’s phase with an unresolved issue.
From challenge to transformation, the solution included:
Detailed site surveys and cable connection diagrams documenting the existing infrastructure to support accurate reinstallation at the destination data center.
Skilled technicians decommissioning each device and preparing equipment for transportation using appropriate packaging and handling procedures to minimise damage risk.
Four dedicated trucks assigned to specific phases of the relocation, enabling controlled and sequential device transport.
Devices reinstalled at the destination data center and individually tested to verify functionality, connectivity, and operational performance before completing each phase.
“We were impressed by TECEZE’s professionalism and efficiency. The entire project was executed flawlessly, and we experienced no downtime during the move.”

HCL engaged TECEZE as its specialist delivery partner for the data center lift-and-shift programme. TECEZE managed the end-to-end execution, including site surveys, cable documentation, decommissioning, equipment packaging, transportation logistics, installation, and post-installation testing
The successful relocation establishes a repeatable approach for future data center migration and infrastructure transition programmes. The combination of detailed pre-move planning, asset-level handling, controlled logistics, phased execution, and installation validation provides a structured framework for moving critical infrastructure while reducing operational and technical risk. The programme also reinforces TECEZE’s capability to support complex data center transitions where precision, continuity, and execution discipline are critical to success.
