HCLTech and TECEZE managed a 2,986-device warehouse estate across eight EMEA and APAC facilities
The client is a global energy technology business supplying power grid equipment, electrification systems and industrial automation to utilities, industry and infrastructure operators across Europe and Asia-Pacific Its distributed operations require continuous movement of equipment as engineers join and leave, field teams re-equip, and sites are commissioned or decommissioned A controlled warehousing layer was required to maintain asset accuracy, manage logistics and ensure equipment reached users efficiently.
Managing a 2,986-device estate across eight physically separate facilities created a need for consistent asset visibility and inventory accuracy
Cross-border logistics added further complexity, with customs documentation, carrier SLAs and import controls varying across destination countries forward logistics and reverse flows for returns, refurbishment and remanufacturing needed to operate simultaneously without disrupting ready-to-ship inventory.
Returned devices also required consistent economic assessment to determine whether they should be refurbished, remanufactured, retained as spares or retired.
HCLTech engaged TECEZE as its specialist delivery partner to operate a managed warehousing service across eight facilities in EMEA and APAC. The model covered the full device lifecycle from asset management and staging through shipping, returns and refurbishment.
The approach included:
Established one authoritative asset register spanning all warehouse locations, with scan points at each state transition to maintain accurate global stock and device status.
Separated forward workflows for staging, kitting and shipping from reverse workflows for returns, refurbishment and remanufacturing, preventing returned inventory from affecting ready-to-ship stock.
Packaged, kitted and assembled devices with the required peripherals and documentation before dispatch, enabling recipients to receive complete, ready-to-use packages.
Applied consistent criteria to returned devices to determine whether they should be refurbished, remanufactured, held as spares or retired, helping extend useful asset life.
Managed asset register and asset management, staging, inventory management, returns, packaging, kitting and assembly, shipping and logistics, refurbishment and remanufacturing across the eight-facility network.
“TECEZE brought the consistency and operational control we needed across our distributed warehouse network. Their structured approach to inventory, logistics, returns and refurbishment gave us better visibility across the device lifecycle, while maintaining a strong focus on SLA performance. The ability to manage eight facilities across EMEA and APAC through a single operating model has strengthened both efficiency and confidence in the service.”
