A global automotive technology business partnered with HCLTech and TECEZE to refresh 10,000+ EUC devices worldwide, delivering 15,600+ annual refreshes at 98% SLA across engineering and corporate environments
The client is a global automotive technology business supplying electrical architecture, software-defined vehicle systems and advanced safety components to vehicle manufacturers. Its worldwide environment includes engineering centres, manufacturing plants and commercial offices. The device estate supports both standard corporate workloads and computationally demanding engineering activities, requiring differentiated hardware builds and migration approaches.
Refreshing a 10,000+ device estate within twelve months required a sustained monthly delivery rate of more than 1,300 devices from the outset. The programme could not rely on a gradual ramp-up while maintaining the required global timeline.
The device population also varied significantly. Engineering workstations, standard corporate laptops and specialist devices required different builds, configurations and migration approaches.
Engineering users were particularly sensitive to migration disruption because long-running computational workloads could be affected by device downtime.
HCLTech engaged TECEZE as its specialist delivery partner to execute the global EUC refresh programme. TECEZE combined immediate delivery capacity, persona-based configurations and workload-aware scheduling to maintain throughput while limiting disruption.
The approach included:
The programme was resourced to achieve full monthly throughput immediately rather than relying on a gradual ramp, supporting the sustained 1,300+ device refresh rate required.
Separate build and configuration profiles were maintained for engineering workstations and standard corporate devices, ensuring each user population received an appropriate configuration.
Engineering user migrations were scheduled around computational workload patterns to minimise disruption to long-running engineering activities.
Refresh activities were delivered across worldwide locations under a single programme standard, providing a consistent refresh experience regardless of user location.
“TECEZE delivered the scale and consistency needed to refresh our global device estate while keeping engineering users and their workloads in focus.”

HCLTech served as the Systems Integrator, holding the client relationship and overall programme governance, while TECEZE operated as the specialist delivery partner for the global EUC refresh.
TECEZE managed refresh execution across the worldwide estate, combining high-volume delivery, differentiated device builds and workload-aware migration scheduling under a single programme standard.
With the 10,000+ device estate refreshed within the 12-month programme, the established delivery model provides a foundation for future EUC lifecycle activities. Persona-based configurations, globally standardised execution and workload-aware scheduling can continue to support efficient refresh cycles while protecting productivity across engineering and corporate environments.
