The challenge

Corporate meeting

Standardising device lifecycle operations across a global footprint

Managing complexity across 65+ sites and 25 countries

Bilfinger needed a consistent operating model for end-user computing lifecycle management across more than 65 sites and 25 countries. Differences in user profiles, OEM SKUs, regional compliance requirements and warehouse operations created complexity across procurement, imaging, staging, deployment and refresh activities.

Time-critical onboarding and device refresh waves also required coordinated regional logistics and reliable delivery. At the same time, secure data handling and certified disposal needed to provide documented evidence and complete chain-of-custody for audit requirements.

Our approach

A governed lifecycle model from asset intake to secure disposal

TECEZE worked as the delivery partner selected by Infosys, establishing standardised lifecycle processes across regions while maintaining local flexibility for logistics, compliance and delivery requirements.

The approach included:

Unified governance with Infosys and Bilfinger

A joint governance model established clear ownership, risk and issue management, weekly operational reviews and monthly steering activities. Quality gates covered image sign-off, certificate validation and disposal attestations.

Standardised global playbooks

Standard procedures covered intake, imaging, kitting, field swaps, returns and e-waste management. Golden images and configuration baselines reduced regional variation, supported by complete evidence packs.

Industrialised staging and kitting

Build cells enabled parallel imaging and QA for refresh waves without service degradation. Automated checks verified BIOS/firmware baselines, encryption and device health before shipment.

Secure data handling and disposal

Serialised, certificate-backed data wiping was mapped to individual asset IDs. Failed wipes were routed to secure destruction, while compliant WEEE/R2/ISO processes supported certified recycling and auditable chain-of-custody.

Logistics engine for forward and reverse flows

Country-specific carrier SLAs, customs documentation and HS-code accuracy were managed across regions. Buffer stock supported rapid break/fix and day-1 readiness, with milestone alerts tracking devices through delivery and return.

Tooling and reporting

CMDB and ticketing integration provided visibility into asset states, SLA timers and operational dashboards. Reporting covered backlog health, cycle times, first-time-right rates, trends and audit evidence.

Governance and reporting cadence

Operational capabilities
CMDB and ticketing integration, golden images, policy/application packaging, QA automation, asset tracking, secure data wiping, logistics tracking, chain-of-custody management and operational dashboards.

Compliance and lifecycle controls
Blancco-certified erasure, WEEE/R2/ISO-aligned disposal processes, disposal attestations, asset tagging and auditable evidence management.

The results: Following implementation across 65+ sites

Consistent global execution with 99.2% SLA performance
