100% SLA for a Seamless Data Center Infrastructure Relocation

A prominent international company partnered with HCL and TECEZE to relocate more than 220 critical data center devices from DXC, Grenoble, France to Equinix, Paris, France. TECEZE managed site surveys, cable documentation, decommissioning, secure packaging, logistics, installation and testing across four weekend phases, achieving 100% SLA compliance with no disruption to operations.

About the Client

The client is a prominent international organisation operating critical data center infrastructure that required a secure and carefully coordinated relocation between data center facilities in France. The environment included servers, storage systems, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and UPS systems. Because these systems supported critical operations, the relocation required precise planning, controlled handling and accurate reinstallation without operational disruption.

Relocating Critical Infrastructure Without Operational Disruption

The constraint: 220+ devices, international route, cable-level documentation, sensitive infrastructure handling

The project involved transporting more than 220 critical devices across an international route while maintaining the integrity and functionality of each device throughout the relocation. Moving between DXC in Grenoble and Equinix in Paris meant that every device had to survive not just physical transport but the full sequence of decommissioning, transit, and reinstallation without loss of functionality — a standard that left little room for improvisation at scale.

The relocation also required accurate documentation of cable connections and careful handling of sensitive infrastructure during decommissioning, transportation and reinstallation, since any gap in that documentation risked delays or errors when devices needed to be reconnected correctly at the destination. With client operations depending on the infrastructure being moved, the project had to be sequenced in a way that protected continuity throughout rather than treating the relocation as a single disruptive event. The organization needed a delivery partner capable of managing a 220+ device international relocation with full documentation discipline and zero disruption to client operations.

Our approach

A Phased and Precision-Led Data Center Relocation

TECEZE implemented a structured approach covering site preparation, technical documentation, decommissioning, packaging, logistics, installation and testing. Detailed surveys were conducted at both the source and destination data centers, with cable connection diagrams created to support accurate reinstallation and reduce the risk of configuration errors during the move. Critical devices were carefully decommissioned and prepared for transportation, using specialised packaging and handling procedures to protect equipment from damage during transit between Grenoble and Paris. Transportation was organised using dedicated trucks assigned to specific phases of the project, enabling the sequential and controlled movement of equipment rather than a single high-risk shipment. At the destination data center, each device was reinstalled and tested to confirm functionality, connectivity and operational performance before the phase was considered complete. The relocation was divided into four weekend phases, with more than 55 devices moved during each phase — an execution model that helped minimise disruption while maintaining control over each stage of the migration.

From challenge to transformation, the solution included:

Site Survey and Planning

Detailed surveys conducted at both source and destination data centers, with cable connection diagrams created to support accurate reinstallation and reduce configuration errors.

Controlled Decommissioning and Packaging

Critical devices carefully decommissioned and prepared for transportation using specialised packaging and handling procedures to protect equipment from damage.

Phased Logistics Management

Transportation organised using dedicated trucks assigned to specific phases, enabling sequential and controlled movement of equipment across the programme.

Weekend Execution and Testing

Relocation divided into four weekend phases with more than 55 devices moved per phase, each reinstalled and tested to confirm functionality, connectivity and operational performance.

The Results

Proven results at scale

220+Devices Relocated
100%SLA Compliance
0Operational Disruption
220+Critical devices successfully relocated across the full programme
100%SLA compliance maintained across all 4 phases
55+Devices moved during each weekend phase

What the client says
