A backup contract guarantees that copies exist. It says nothing about how long it takes to bring a business service back, in what order, or who is authorised to start. That gap is where outages turn into headlines. This service is built around recovery, tested and measured. Every tier one application has an orchestrated runbook, a rehearsal schedule and a recorded recovery time. If a test misses the agreed objective, closing that gap becomes our action, not a note in your risk register.

No. The service is designed for estates that are genuinely mixed: VMware on premises, workloads in Azure or AWS, some in colocation, and a few applications nobody wants to touch. We replicate each workload to the target that fits its performance, licensing and data residency needs. If consolidation would clearly reduce cost or risk, we will say so and show the numbers. It stays a decision you make later, never a precondition for being protected now.

Tier one workloads are rehearsed quarterly and the wider estate at least annually, on a calendar agreed with you at onboarding. Tests run in an isolated network so users and production data are untouched. Each rehearsal produces a report with the measured recovery time, the recovery point achieved, anything that failed and the remediation owner. That report is the artefact your auditors and insurers usually ask for and rarely receive.

Pricing is per protected workload per month, banded by tier, so a critical database and a departmental file server are not charged at the same rate. Cloud recovery capacity is consumed only during tests and real events, which is where most of the saving against a standby site comes from. During the assessment we model your current cost of protection, including licences, standby infrastructure and internal effort, against this model so you compare total cost rather than line items.

Declaration authority sits with your named executives, defined in the contract before go live. Our team monitors, alerts, provides the technical assessment and recommends, then executes the moment you approve. From that point there is a single incident bridge, a named recovery lead and a published sequence. Communication runs on a fixed cadence to your stakeholders, so nobody has to chase engineers for status while they are recovering systems.

Recovery copies are immutable and logically air gapped, held in a separate security domain with separate credentials, so an attacker who compromises production cannot reach or alter them. Deletion and retention changes require multiple approvals. Restores run through a clean room: workloads are recovered into an isolated environment, scanned and validated before they rejoin production. That prevents reinfecting the estate with the very data you just recovered.

The service produces continuous evidence: protection coverage, recovery objectives per application, test results with dates and outcomes, and alerts for any workload that drifts out of protection. It maps to ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 expectations and supports DORA, GDPR and sector specific data residency requirements. Insurers increasingly price on proven recovery capability rather than stated intent. Documented, repeatable test results are the strongest position you can take into that conversation.
